Walk-A-Thon Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS WALK-A-THON?

Walk-A-Thon is the PTA's largest fundraiser of the year. It is a family friendly event where students, families, and faculty come together to raise money for Gorrie. 

HOW DO STUDENTS WIN PRIZES?

Students can raise money by asking family, friends and neighbors for donations. Donations can be made directly through the child's personal page. Donations will be collected until 11 am on November 14. 

HOW MANY LAPS WILL THE STUDENTS WALK?

Students will begin their laps in the courtyard in front of the school. Each class will walk 4 laps around the perimeter of the school. 

WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT TO WALK WITH MY CHILD? 

Parents are encouraged to walk with their child(ren). Times for each class will be posted soon.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

Money raised from the Walk-A-Thon goes directly back to PTA initiatives.
